Camp de Mar, Mallorca

Stunning mansion

About project

Yvette Taylor and her team of interior designers transformed the internal spaces of a stunning villa in the beautiful bay of Camp de Mar, in just four and a half months. After meticulous planning and preparing detailed material specifications, the client put his full faith in the team to replace the existing internal look with an exciting new ‘ethnic contemporary’ interior design concept.

The original, natural ‘Piedra Mallorquina’ flooring was left untouched. Taylor Interiors created new colour schemes and material concepts to achieve an exotic ambience and sumptuous style. Local artist Sabine Abfalterer left her impressionist imprint on the property; her works are hung in key spaces.

The ground floor was redecorated in ivory and beige tones and rich, brown wenge wood creates striking accents. Exquisite beige leather sofas by Verdesign and a striking five x five metre crocodile leather rug by Smania are key design features in the living room.

Dedar fabrics further accentuate the ethnic style, with tribal patterns embellishing the curtains and cushions. Italian furniture manufacturer Orsi was chosen to produce bespoke furniture, which Taylor Interiors designed, including a dining table and selection of console tables. The old classic kitchen was replaced with a state-of-the-art Scavolini kitchen in satin glass and white lacquer for a sleek contemporary finish. Bedrooms are sumptuous and decorated with wenge finish furniture produced by Orsi, Poliform and Simform.

French company Atelier Sedap provided much of the lighting, however, for individual fittings Taylor looked to Italian brands, including Targetti, Iluminaria and lamps by Baga and Marioni. Large mirrors and glass doors for the showers were custom designed and supplied by Cristaleria Calvia to create an impressive finish. A complete home cinema and music system by Bang & Olufson were fitted to provide the latest technology, adding to the peerless standard of high-end interior design seen throughout the villa.
