Modern Villa

About project

A Ukrainian family with two small children appointed Taylor Interiors to undertake interior design services for their newly built holiday villa in Marbella. The aim was to create modern and elegant interiors that would also be functional for family living.

The original walnut flooring set the tone for the warm colour scheme. In the entrance, a walnut framed mirror is hung above a walnut console table, both by Porada. In the living room, the sand-coloured sofa and footstools are by Casa Desus and the walnut and curved glass coffee table is a stunning design feature by Flai. The white sculptural floor lamp was supplied by Cattelan Italia, as was the retro-style bow-armed floor lamp leaning across the sofa. De Castelli supplied a bronze sculpture as a feature piece and the blue and beige scatter cushions with arabesque pattern are made with Jab fabrics.

In the master bedroom, the grey and off-white palette is contrasted by an Astral headboard, upholstered with Osborne & Little crocodile-skin imprinted grey velvet. Grey lacquered bedside tables by Bimax and futuristic table lamps in aluminium and glass, by Modiss, add stylish definition. In the guest bedroom, the colour scheme changes to off-white and turquoise. The Astral bed is upholstered in off-white velour by Jab, combined with a Designer’s Guild velvet bedspread.

The children’s bedrooms are vibrant and playful using Designers Guild, Jab and Froca fabrics for the bedspreads and curtains. The additional guest bedroom, with a lilac accent colour, has two single beds by Astral, which can be placed next to each other to form a double bed.

The garden furniture, a brown lacquered dining table with glass top by Expormim and off-white dining chairs by Serenity Living, are simple. The outdoor areas complete the exclusive interior design style of this sumptuous Mediterranean villa.
