An exclusive client commissioned Yvette Taylor and her team to provide interior design services for the renovation and update of a stone facade villa on a cliff in Santa Ponsa, with stunning sea views.

The team did not just take charge of the furnishing and decoration, because after discovering the poor technical condition of the house, they had to work swiftly to rewire the entire property, installing new central fuse boxes, plugs and switches. The pool was also leaking and required retiling, as did the attached terraces. The client also faced the challenge of poor insulation and Yvette Taylor London organised a special insulation material to be injected into the walls before re-plastering.

The luxurious interior design plan included fitting a modern kitchen from Italian brand Armony, with Miele appliances and worktops in a light ivory silestone. The colour palette for the large, open plan living area was carefully selected to compliment the exposed stonewall, and the Ver Design furniture was chosen in a natural walnut veneer. A Galloti & Radice square glass coffee table and a natural reed rug, with leather border by Limited Edition, accompany the light cream Ver Design corner sofa. Large floor lamps by Italian specialist Modo create a cosy lighting effect.

German artist Sabine Abfalterer was commissioned to create several bespoke paintings, which add to the property’s welcoming atmosphere. The entrance boasts a large open staircase with a seven-metre high ceiling, illuminated by a beautifully bespoke chandelier consisting of 72 tiny crystal lamps by Italian designer Metalspot.

The dining area, with furnishings by Bonaldo, has a large dining table in walnut veneer, complimented by cream leather chairs from Tonon. The master bedroom has a grand Bimax bed featuring an ivory leather headboard coupled with curtains and bedspread using Gaston y Daniela fabric in stone and ivory hues.

The stunning outdoor area with views over the Santa Ponsa bay and Tramuntana mountains is completed with outdoor furniture from German Rauch, upholstered in mocca Jab outdoor collection fabrics, creating the perfect serene space for outdoor dining. This Mediterranean villa is a wonderful example of luxurious interior design, which is also functional and family friendly.
